Addressing the significant challenges and opportunities in the nautical sector, particularly in areas such as tourism, technological innovation, sustainability, education, and employment, is the primary goal of the 4th edition of the Professional Days of Marinas de Andalucía. This event will take place on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th October at Marina El Rompido, Cartaya (Huelva).
Organised by the Marinas de Andalucía Association, the meeting will gather key players from the nautical sector, including professionals, experts, institutions, companies, and marine enthusiasts.
This 4th edition, which has become one of the main nautical events in Andalusia, will feature conferences, round tables, networking spaces, and cultural visits, allowing participants to explore the area and exchange experiences and knowledge in a relaxed and engaging environment.
The choice of Marina El Rompido for this event is deliberate; this river marina set in the Natural Site of the Marismas del Río Piedras and Flecha del Rompido is the perfect venue to discuss current interests in the marina sector.
The nautical sector is essential for the Andalusian economy
"The nautical sector is a fundamental pillar for the economy and tourism in Andalusia, and these sessions have become an important meeting point where experts present the latest trends in the sector, share knowledge, and promote collaboration in the nautical industry," remarks Manuel Raigón, president of Marinas de Andalucía.
The sessions will begin on Thursday morning with the inauguration ceremony and a welcome to the participants, followed by the first lecture of the day which will discuss the situation of the nautical sector in Andalusia. After a lunch break with networking opportunities, there will be a cultural activity around the Marina El Rompido.
On Friday, the focus will be on conferences and round tables in the morning, concluding the event with an open Q&A session where attendees can pose questions, comments, or suggestions about the topics discussed.
Digitalisation to improve customer experience at the ports, the issue of abandoned vessels and potential solutions, and the benefits of developing marine fauna at the ports are some of the topics that will dominate the conferences of this 4th edition.
